The North Pole is a charming town, full of wonder and  folks who work hard to make toys for the children of the world. And while Candice is a competent toymaker, she has an idea to bring cheer in a different way. There is a new carol that Candice is writing, but her job in the workshop is taking all of her energy away from her creative pursuits. Since Mr. and Mrs. Claus seem to be the only ones concerned with the work/ life balance of the halflings and elves in their employ, Candice doesn't much care for anyone who is under 5 feet tall, figuring that the height gives them a better perspective than her co-workers.
